This movie was shot on the main street of the beachtown of Figueira da Foz (literally figtree of the river's end) in Portugal. As you can see, I had a friend, José Silva, hold an umbrella over the camera, but he kept himself inconspicuous. Two annoying friends, Joaquim Silva and Ana Prata (and a "little bean" inside her belly), found it amusing to infest several corners of the landscape.
I used an Agfa ePhoto 307, a KiWi pan head and a Manfrotto tripod. As you can see, you don't need a Nik*** and other professional paraphrenalia -- and a second mortgage to pay for it all -- to have some fun ;-) The panorama was stitched with QTVR Authoring Studio 1.0. I then reduced the source pict size by half using PhotoShop 4.0. A larger version (around 937KB) in QTVR 2.1 format is also available.
In my other life I'm a research/teaching assistant in the Dep. of Mathematics of University of Coimbra. I'm working in my Ph.D. in Computer Science (integration of logic programming with object-oriented programming).
